Thoughts

Dear Friends, dear relatives, dear all, Oliver and I would like to thank you all for attending and supporting the funeral of our loved farther Adeyemo. I as Adeyemo’s son and Oliver’s brother want to thank especially my brother for taking care of all the perfect organisation. Even more than that, he made this sad occasion a very peaceful and respectful day. Who had taken the journey and finally came to the burialsite, Oliver picked in Essex for his last place of rest, was a whiteness of a beautiful countryside that my father would have love. And in the final moment of the burial the sky opened up and the warm rays of the sun came shining on all of us. As if heaven opened up to invite Adeyemo’s gentle sole to rise up and come “home”. Thank you for all of your support. Best Sebastian

When we both met we were like two innocent birds dropping out of the sky....

It is difficult for me to accept that my very good friend Ade has passed away. I am still thinking that it is a bad dream and I am yet to wake up. I rang him two days before he passed away and our conversation was longer than usual as if we knew that it was the last time we would speak to each other. We reminisced about so many things, talking about mutual friends who had left us. What an irony! There has been so many happy memories that we shared and that I cannot forget. Ade was an optimist, always thinking that one day he would win the lottery! He assured me that he would give me some of his winnings! He was my trusted buddy, a sincere and loyal friend who cared about my family. He always enquired about my children and grandchildren. He did not like confrontation or arguments. He had a very strong faith and believed that there was not anything that God could not do. When his eyesight deteriorated he often said that it was only God who could cure him. Goodbye my dear friend. Rest in perfect peace until we meet again. “ To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die”. Chief Clement Dasilva
